Portfolio as an OS #1 — the genesis

What if a portfolio looked like an operating system? Click, double-click, right-click, scroll… A look at the very first version.

Portfolio as an OS #1 — the genesis

Today I was wondering what to share, and thought: why not present my portfolio in full? Deployed a few weeks ago, “Dever” introduces me in a few words and shows my skills and work as a tablet-like screen you interact with (HMI human-machine interface).

Just click, double-click, right-click or scroll to open a window, see a context menu, read the content of an embedded site (iframe). For shell lovers, a click on the terminal icon pinned to the taskbar lets you type pre-configured commands (pretty basic 😁) to see info about me.

That's what my personal site looks like. The best experience is still on a big screen. I've got a series of posts lined up to explain, step by step, how I went about it and share a few ideas along the way. 🌚

2026 note: this first “OS” version has grown a lot since. It's the direct ancestor of the PaulBrain OS you can explore today.
